Kids, got'em. Books, read'em. Bacon, Om Nom Nom.
Along with the belated birthdays, I'm also quite tardy posting new pictures. Just in time for Easter, I'm posting whole batches of new pictures, going back to Will's first bowling trip in January. Here's a list of links to the new pictures:
Remember back when I had a lot of time and could post all sorts of news and funny things? Yeah, those were the days. Unfortunately, those days have not returned, but I'm taking a break from my day to bring you, the faithful lookers (i'd call you readers, but there hasn't been much to read) some new content to gaze upon.
Fun Update
Two videos that must be seen:
I'm still working, still employed, still alive (despite my lack of blogging). I know it's almost Easter, but maybe I should be blogging for Lent. We'll see. Things have been going well, just busy with life and the blog has suffered. But spring is coming and I'll repent. Long live APT518.net!
"Noelle" was replaced by "Poor Elle" while she and Will both contracted some nasty cold. No fevers, but both had lovely coughs and ear infections. Additionally, Ella had and upset tummy, which lead to lots of soiled diapers and a terrible case of diaper rash. After a couple trips to the doctors office, we got some antibiotics, and some 'poop goop' for Ella's bottom.
After about a week, Noelle and Will are back to their normal selves. Ella's appetite is back. She ate 3 silver dollar pancakes, half a container of yogurt, and a slice of cheese for lunch one day. Ella is actually eating more at meal time than Will is some days (but mostly because Will is just bored).
Who knew that someone with so little vocabulary and motor skills, could emote so much. Of course I'm talking about Ella. But I could easy be speaking of everyone's favorite droid, R2D2. Both 'speak' in squeaks, beeps and honks; each knows how to make their opinions heard; both are awkwardly mobile; both also seem to batteries that perform unusually well and each can fly an X-wing fighter to Degoba (or the diaper changing table). It seems that someone was thinking about our 10 month old daughter when writing Star Wars, many years ago.
Ella has discovered that if she moves her arms and legs together, she can move around the house by crawling. While this is a significant milestone (one that even Will never achieved) it's lead to all sorts of new adventures. Ella has discovered the joys of pulling books off the shelf and the mystery of what's behind the chair. For the most part, her adventures are harmless. On occasion she gets into trouble; such as when she tries to climb up on the rocking chair or when she attempts (or succeeds) on pulling a placemat off the table. These sorts of dangerous adventures has lead us to call her Noelle, as in NO-Ella! Ella doesn't seem to know the difference and responds either way.
Ella continues to astound and amaze with her new tricks. She's got two teeth that have FINALLY broken through, and a third that seems like it should be out already. Even at 10 months, Ella still isn't ready to walk, she's finally got enough coordination to do some serious crawling, when she wants something. In Ella's case, it's usually one of Will's toys. Will is usually willing to share, and he's always sure to remove any dangerous toys from her path.
Other tricks Ella discovered this week including, pulling herself up to standing on certain furniture; pulling herself to sitting from laying down. And walking along furnature, using her hands for balance. She can also move between couch, chair and ottoman.
Finally, Ella love to talk. Talk to Will, Mommy or Daddy, people at the grocery store or even just to herself. Her standard greeting to all is as follows: she looks directly at the person, she raises her right or left hand and says "Hey". She's like a female, baby Fonzie. Everyone melts.
